I have a new mother whose first little (this is her second) were born early and stillborn. This litter was full-term. This is my first time breeding and my intention is breed only this one time. My question is, it's been four days since she gave birth and we rarely see her or the babies, she seems in seclusion, and I assume this is normal. I've heard that it's good to handle the pups before two weeks, but what do you think?

I'm concerned that you didn't even reply to the advice in your previous post about the stillborns.

First of all what kind of breeding stock do you have? What breeder did you get your stock from?

Second of all why are you only breeding once? What was the purpose of this breeding?

Third of all ideally you should have checked the babies soon after they were born to be sure they all had milk bands and were healthy. Have you not handled them at all yet?
